In reply to "J.M.5.," unfortunately Experience,' who wrote the note;--on spraying fruit trees, referred ;to -in your inquiry, is laid up, and cannot :be consulted. Red oil is a very stroug spray, and most authorities advocate using it at this time of the year in a strength of 1 in 60, and at this strength it would prove quite effective. .In connection with red. oil spraying it should always be remembered that'it is essential that the spray pump be absolutely clean, as the presence of bluestone, tobacco, or lime will cause a separation of the emulsion. When properly mixed there should be no free oil or seam Boating on .the top:' ' ' '. .."
