THE RENTENMARK
SO RARE AS TO BE CURIOUS.
LONDON, 22nd November.
The "Morning Post" correspondent in Berlin says: "It is now a week since the" issue of rentenmarks was authorised, but ordinary citizens regard it as an event if they see a note as a curiousity. Persons fortunate enough to secure one hold jt tightly, for it is long since they had money which might not next day be half its face value. On the other hand, speculators are endeavouring to collect rentenmarks in ( the hope of selling them at a premium."
