LOWER HUTT SUNDAY SCHOOL;

The anniversary services of the' Lower Hutt Trinity Congregational Sunday bchool were held on bunday. The Rev JDe Lisle, of Newtown Congregational Church, conducted the morning service and gave an address on "Punctuality" In the afternoon thero was a unique kindergarten demonstration by fifty . little scholars under Mrs. Hawke. After the ordinary routine had been gone through several of the scholars acted the parable of the Good Samaritau. During the afternoon service, there was a baptism service at which the pastor of the church (the Rev. C. A. Hawke) officiated. In the evening the church was packed, me Rev. C. A. Hawke conducted the service^ and delivered an appropriate addrosu °n »m? ln"uence and Character Building. The singing of the anniversary hymns by the Sunday school scholars under Mr. Leggott,, was a special feature at each service.

Oil Tuesday the anniversary tea was held, and was a great success. The tea was followed by a public meeting. The ?? U a S as again crowded, and the Rev .(_■- A. Hawke occupied the chair. The secretary s report snowed that the year ]ust ended had been the most successful on record. Approximately seventy new scholars had been added to the roll during the year and it was expected' that , tttere would soon be many 'more. The treasurer b report was also encouraging. Mr R W. Smith (secretary), on behalf of the bunday school, parents, and. friends, then made a presentation of a beautiful Morris chair to Mr. H. Leggott for faithful services rendered. The recipient suitably responded. The Rev. W. H. Holland 8.A., 8.D.. of Cambridge Torrace Congregational Church, and Mr. W. Lankshear of the Terrace Church, delivered interest! ing addresses. The chairman, in the course of his remarks, stated that an effort would soon be made to build a large modern hall for Sunday school and other purposes. Over 100 prizes were distributed to the various soholars by Mrs. Hawke The organist and other willing workers were heartily thanked for- their services
