FOUND DROWNED

■ TAUMARUNUI, 21st November. At an inquest on the body of Harry Thomas, who was drowned "in the Wangauui River, a verdict of found drowned was returned:
ASHBTJRTON, 21st November. Michael M'Grath, a single man, aged 22, was found drowned in a watercourse at Methven. M'Grath, who was a labourer, and had been working at odd jobs tor several weeks, was sleeping at a hut with a man named O'Connor. Last night about 9 o'clock he left the hut saying he was unwell, and would take a walk, but did not return. Mrs. Jackson, when fetching her cows, found the body lying face downwards in the water, i No explanation i 3 afforded.
