PILLION RIDING TO CEASE
Motor-cycle pillion riding, it appears iairly certain, will very shortly have to cease in city streets, for the following new bylaw is to be referred to the City Council at its next meeting 29th November, for final confirmation:-— "It shall not be lawful for more than one person to ride or be upon any motorcycle at one and the same time, when such motor-cycle is in motion in any street, private street, or private way or public place, and in the event of two or more persons so riding or being each of them shall be guilty of a breach, of this section, provided that this section shall not apply to any person riding in a proper side-car attached to a motorcycle."
