ARTCRAFT. THEATRE.
Selznick's special production,-; "Under Oath." featuring Elaine Haminersiein, which commences its first screening '.at the Artcraft Theatre to-night, is -a remarkably interesting study of the struggle constantly taking place between the newly rich and the old established order of aristocrats, who have held their place in the social sphere for a number of generations. In this production Elaine Hammerstein is the symbolof a refined and wealthy aristocracy. Pitted against her, newly-rich and self-made', is a Wall street millionaire,.- played-' by Mahloa Hamilton. The scenes between these two, each representing a strata of society';" are vivid with emotion and intensely dramatic. Yet different as these two people are from a superficial point of view, they have a common point of contact, and that point is the heart. When Love knocks at the door, then old prejudices and boundaries miraculously disappear. The Artcraft's full orchestra will render music specially selected.
