QUEEN'S THEATRE.
What Wives Want," the Universal Photoplay which opened at the Queen's iheatre yesterday, is a dramatic story dealing with that phase of domestic life so generally conceded problematic—by husbands and wives alike. Austin Howard was a successful young business man, and he devoted every interest to his business that he might provide his wife, Claire, whom he loved dearly, with the material things of life which were such a part of her existence. As he became more and more absorbed in his work he became less responsive to his wife's caresses. His wife, hurt at his indifterence, sought attention "elsewhere and had no difficulty at all in finding it. Jack Reeves, Howard's business associate a bachelor with considerable charm which appealed to women, was quick to take advantage of the situation, and immediately became very attentive to Claire. It would not be fair to divulge- the entire plot, but it is one that holds from start^to finish. The supporting items on the programme include the sixth 'episode of the popular serial, "The Social Buccaneer," featuring Jack Mulhall; a Century comedy, "Don't Get Fresh, ' starring Buddy Messenger; a Burton Holmas Travelogue, and the latest Gazettes. Tile . Queen's • Grand Orchestra provides a feast of wonderful music. The box plan is at The-Bris-tol.
