(Received 3rd November, 1 p.m.)
LONDON, 2nd November. The Conference to-day came to a unanimous decision to accept the proposal that if the British Government should advance money to Dominion Governments, local bodies, or even private firms engaged in developmental works overseas, the material used should be purchased in Britain.
If the British Parliament ratifies the proposal, the scheme will be proceeded with, Britain advancing three-fourths of the purchase money for such material free of interest for five years. Mr. Massey states that the proposal is of importance to the Dominions engaged m developmental work, and expects that New Zealand will take full advantage of it if it is adopted
