RED CROSS SOCIETY
MEETING OF WELLINGTON COMMITTEE. '
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society was held yesterday afternoon. Air. T. Munt presided, and there wero also present :-Dr.E. M. L. Morgan, Messrs. P. D. Barcham, C. H, Chapman, P. Castle, Colonel P Mabin Misses R.M. Griffiths, S. Nathan, Mes?am^ s J;- W- Stables, C. G. Wilson, J. M. Geddis, W. G. Reid, W. Natnan, Sister J. E. Lewis Lady Luke. Apologies for. absence were received from Mesdames Chapman, Clarke Griffiths and Messrs. G. Mitchell and F. Goldberg. The report* of Dr. E. M. L. Morgan and Sisters J. E. Lewis (Wellington) and E. Webster (New Plymouth) were received.
Miss S. Nathan (secretary of the Junior Red Cross) reported that a new circle consisting of forty members, had been orgamsed at the I/yall Bay School.
The secretary reported that ten cases of clothing from the Canterbruy College Student Relief Committee, and five cases from Auckland,, had been forwarded to England for relief of University and other students in Europe. A sub-committee was appointed to make, arrangements in connection, -with the saloof work to be held in the Red Cross rooms on the 7th and oth IWmber, and the concert and presentation of prizes.in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on the 10th December.
