The charges were for!;* cry and uttering, obtaining'"credit while bankrupt (five counts), and obtaining credit by fraud (nine counts). Accused pleaded not guilty to the charge of forgery and uttering, and the hearing was postponed till to-morrow. The jury returned a verdict of guilty on all the fourteen counts of obtaining credit, and prisoner was sentenced to three years' hard labour. Accused had a long record of crime in the Dominion and Australia.
