APPOINTMENT OF A JUDGE.
. ASHBURTON, Ist November. In view of the keen rivalry between the Ashburton, ■Woolston, and Christcnurch bands, which led to the recent expression of disappointment that a Cnnstchurch judge was chosen, it is interesting to state that the Ashburton band has decided to enter for several events and to make every endeavour to secure the championship.
