SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

Seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society last evening threw care to the winds and enjoyed the musical fare provided by Miss M. Peterson. The performers were Misses Weston, Myrtle Scott, Nisbitt, Dorothy Scott Una Smith, Eva Wakeford, Frances Pollock, Messrs. L. N. Smith, Jordon Barnbrook, and Huckle. Miss M. Peterson was at the piano. The short story competition brought out some gems. The prizes came from Kelburn and Masterton, and went to the Dorset, Marama, and Tainui. '
