HUTT VALLEY POWER BOARD

The fortnightly meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board was held yesterday. The formal resolution in^ regard to the signing of the debentures for the £130,000 loan were passed. The secretary was instructed to inform the Parenmta Improvement Association that full provision had been made for" supplying the district with electricity, and that the board would be glad of the assistance of the association in ascertaining the amount of current the district was likely to require. The engineer reported that certain poles arriving were not in strict accordance with the specifications. The board gave the engineer full power to deal with the matter. The. question of making final arrangements for the Lower Hutt sub-station was left in the hands of the engineer.
