REDUCED WHEAT AREA
The actual area under wheat and oats in the Dominion last year was 278,687 acres wheat and 468,928 acres'oats. This year the estimated area gazetted is 180,000 acres in wheat and 445,000 acres in oats. These figures indicate a greatly reduced production of wheat in New Zealand for next year.
