DRAUGHT HORSES.

£Tbe draught horse sections were much' Wore comprehensive than usual, including entries from many outside centres fcludmg- J^fßllingJon ;;and Dunedin; In c draoght^cl es,; Bugtos s = atid-Akers iintonf,- BlatcTiTord Bros. (R'arigitamau), Ronald s Estate and Q. Donald (Featherison), Moore.-Hunter's Estate (Hawera), md H. Vjjei'(Palmerston North) shared first prizes evenly. ~ Donald's Estate' took IJoth the champion and reserve for colts .'.- On this occasion the Wellington City Corporation had to do battle with the Express Co., Dunedin, and G. H. Leslie, Hastings, in the working draught sections. Wellington did not come out so successfully as last year,-though competition was very keen, all the. horses being <*cide%Ugood and in splendid, condign. New Zealand Express ComEny took three firsts and two seconds, slie ■ three firsts, and Wellington two firsts (with Dolly), and two seconds ghild ..Bros., Paimerston North, one first and two seconds.
