MINING CRISIS
CITIZENS' COMMITTEE SEEKING A SOLUTION.
(SI TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WESTPORT, 31st October. The special citizens' committee set up to try and find a way out of the mining crisis sat from 10.30 a.m. today until a late hour to-night without reaching anything satisfactory to both parties to the dispute. The committee will meet again in the morning to fur- ' ther consider the situation.
