RAIN IN N.S.W.
CROPS ALREADY DROUGHTDAMAGED.
(united' press association.—coptrigbt.) SYDNEY, 31st October. Useful rains in many parts of the State have partially relieved the position, which was becoming serious owing to the continued droughty conditions. The wheat crops and feed in the dairying districts have suffered severely. Much heavier falls are required to give full relief. Though the outlook in the western wheat areas has improved, the rain is regarded as having come too late to save the b.Mk of the crops.
