WORLD-WIDE EXPRESSIONS OF REGRET
THE KING'S CONDOLENCES.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—CO7TMOBT.) (REUTEK'S TELEGRAM.) LONDON, 31st October. The King conveyed his and the Queen's sympathy to the late Mr. Bonar Law's daughter. *c said that he had always found the ex-Premier a wise and capable councillor and a steadfast friend throughout his relations as a Minister of the Crown and as Prime Minister. His Majesty recognised the integrity, patriotism, and single-hearted-ness which gained for him the confidence and respect of his fellows af Home and abroad. Mr. Baldwin, in a speech at Swansea, in a voice shaken with emotion, eulogised Mr. Bonar Law, whose loss was irreparable. He requested the audience to rise as a tribute.
