NO BRITISH RECOGNITION

It is semi-officially announced that Britain is -informing France and Belgium that it does not recognise the legality of the Provisional Rhenish Government under Dorten a,nd Matthes, and will oppose any Separatist attempts in ' the British zone. (Received 31st October, 9 a.m.) PARIS, 31st October. Britain has refused to recognise the Rhineiand Republic, as it is contrary to the Treaty of Versailles.
