Wellington now loot to the committee of the Commercial Travel- I lers and Warehousemen's Association to provide annually a joy-giving function in aid of unfortunate. children in local institutions. This association has always "delivered tho goods," and its reputation for giving good value will not suffer on this occasion. The ' function takes, place on I Friday week, at 7.45 p.m., and owing to j th«'large attendances oh both previous occasions, it has been decided to take both the main hall and the Concert Chamber for the evening. First-class orchestras will enable patrons to dance in either hall,.and handsome prizes are to be donated to ladies and gentlemen for the most original costumes. Tickets at 2s 6d each are available from all members of the association, and, in audition to a most, enjoyable evening, each ticket gives a chance in the art union.
