A SALUTARY SENTENCE
TEN YEARS FOR ROBBING CHINESE LAUNDRY.

AUCKLAND, This Day. At, the bupreme Court to-day. Arthur Hamilton was found guilty of 'entering a Chinese laundry and stealing 18s 6d. He was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. Mr. j us ti ce stringer said that it was not safe for this man to be at {aige. He had been convicted here and in Australia. In New Zealand he had been convicted eight times for burglaries, five times for breaking and entermg, and was sentenced to a total of ten years' imprisonment and to one year before he came to New Zealand. He would have him locked up for as long as he could.
