PRISON MUTINY

Other inmates pined in protest, and attacked the warders with knives. The warders letaliated, using revolvers and bayonets A number were wounded. When rh P mutiny was quelled the seveies re gime was instituted. The prisoners are now petitioning the directorate, com plaining of the tyranny of the new regime, saying it forbids gambling, which is the principal amusement of tlfe prison and asking it to restore old-time liberties.
