Speaking at Richmond, Virginia, Mr. Lloyd George, commented on M. Poincaire's views regarding the adjustment of the German reparation debt. He declared that if Poincaire ment that there was to be no reduction under any circumstances in the total of 132,000 million marks, "then there would not be any inducement for Germany to do anything." If there was a proper adjustment, Germany would probably do her best to pay up. "Otherwise she would lie down in the ring, lie down like a tadpole in the mud."
