Mokenbe and Swiftsure galloped a mile in lmin 46sec; Norse Song sprinted five furlongs in lmin 4sec; Rivoli and Comptroller five furlongs in even time; and Hayhope six furlongs in lmin 19secl Shrapnel and Even Song did nine furlongs in 2min O£sec. Fred Power beat Prince Hugo in ten furlongs on the grass in 2min 131 sec. Rahiri and Mirthmaker did ten furlongs in ,2min 15isec. Backwoad beat Gungool in eleven furlongs in 2min 29£ sec. At Caulfield, on the grass, Drongo (R. Lewis) - scalloped eleven furlongs in 2min 25£ sec, the first mile in lmin 43sec. The Cypher merely strode for nine furlongs. Stare did eleven furlongs in 2min 36sec. Beeling ran seven furlongs in lmin 29sec. Suomi beat Farr over a mile in lmin 45sec. Linlithgow beat Hamish in six furlongs in lmin 18aec.. Denacre ran a mile in lmin 44i»ec. David beat Sister Olive over nine furlongs in 2min 9isec.
