The Chancery Court has appointed a *eceiver : monaser for the Becker Company, Ltd., paper pulp merchants, on the application of the National Provincial Union Bank, trustees for the debentureholders. The bank's counsel said that the company's affairs had arrived at a crisis owing to the failure of a certain Canadian company to meet its "liabilities The receiver states that the business will be carried on with a. view to reconstruction. It is hoped that the creditors will eventually receive payment.
