THE FASCISTI
NOW A MULTITUDE
ITALY'S RELIABLE ARMY
GRAVE DAYS FOR CORFU.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.) (REUTERS TELEGRAM.) ROME, 29th October. Signor Mussolini, in a speech at the Milan celebration of the first anniversary of the Fascist march to Rome, said the few hundred stalwarts of Fascism he had addressed in the same place a year ago had now grown to a multitude. The Fascist Government had kept its promises. An army had been created on which the nation could implicitly rely. This was known abroad as well as at home. Referring to Corfu, he said that Italy had, for the first time, taken an absolutely independent step, and denied the competence of the Genevan 'Areopagus, which was opposed to proletarian nations. Those days were more grave than was generally thought. The Italian people had given an example oE discipline. If it had been necessary for them to march they undoubtedly would have done so. Signor Mussolini concluded-. "Black Shirts, rely on me, and I will rely on you."
