(ABSraAIIAN-NBjr ZJALANn CABLE ASSOCIATION.) •WASHINGTON, 28th October. A Red Cross cablegram from Tokio stated that an epidemic of diseases is spreading dangerously there,. owing to the overcrowding. Weekly reports average 700 cases of typhoid and other infectious diseases.
The food and clothing problems are becoming less acute, but "the need of medical suppling, and better housing remains great. There are 780,000 persons still being f s d daily.
