HUTT MUNICIPAL BAND.

The monthly recital by the Hutt Municipal Band, which was given at Lower Hutt last Sunday evening, maintained the usual standard of excellence, a,/ fact which was recognised Tjy an appreciative audience. The band was assisted by Mr. F. Bryant, who was heard to advantage in "Sweet Early Violets" and "Dawn," both numbers being particularly well suited to his voice. Miss P. Norris, who gave', a. pleasing interpretation of, "My ..Prayer," and for recall "AH the Way Home.". Mr. Barton Ginger recited "Bugler Allan" (an incident of the Maori War campaign in the Hutt Valley), and was recalled. Bandsman J. Weir rendered a euphonium solo with violin obbligato by Ma6ter M.< O'Kane. Mrs. O'Kane was the accompanist. The band advertises a dance to be held at Taita Hall to-morrow evening.
