SHORTT'S THEATRE.
_ Tennis enthusiasts will be interested in the latest series of films showing at Shortt's Theatre. One of the pictures depicts the finals of the Davis Cup, in which W. M. Johnston is seen in the match with J. 0. Anderson, and W. T. Tilden is shown playing J. B. Hawkes. The series is further accentuated by slow motion pictures of the players in action, giving spectators some idea of how these world-famous exponents of the game obtain their results. The-dra-matic side of the programme includes a fine story in "The Face on the Barroom Floor," in which a notable cast headed by Henry B. Walthall, supported by Ruth Clifford, scores a distinct success. The second feature is "Goodbye, Girls," with William Russell in the stellar role. Supporting pictures are varied, with a fine selection of music.
