LONDON, 12th October.

The Hull wool eales closed very firm. There was strong competition throughout, Yorkshire buyers being the chief operators. The. Liverpool rates were fully maintained. Tho offerings consisted of 33,500 bales of Bawra crossbreds. Practically all was 6old.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having . received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of 13th October: —"Bawra. wool sales at Hull of Australian crossbreds: 33,800 bales offered and practically all sold. Strong competition from Home trade and Continent. As compared with last wool sales closing rates at London, crossbred wools, greasy, fine quality, S per cent, higher; crossbred wools, greasy, medium quality, 5 per cent, to 10 per cent, higher; crossbred wools of other description very firm."
