Mr. Wright stated on his return to l-lu T thl new road Pro™^ well indeed, for the grades were easy and the view was magnificent. The road cannot be thrown open for general traffic for a week or so, for though the construction work is completed a finishing touch has yet to be given here and there and machinery has to be removed from the roadsjde. No provision was made in ,the loan schedule, Mr. Wright re marked, for water and drainage for the estates, but those services would, of course, have to be provided before the land was offered for sale. Provision would also be made for open air spaces and probably for playing areas. In the Homebush Estate, said Mr. Wright, the city had a wonderfully fine property.
