The "Daily Chronicle" declares that Freetraders will experience a feeling of relief, and robust Tariffites will entertain a corresponding sense of disappointment at the Government's modest suggestions before the Economic Conference. From the Free Trade standpoint, the proposals involve no further breach of fiscal principles, and are comparatively unimportant.
