LABOUR DAY.

On Monday, 22nd October (Labour Day), the Post Office will lie closed iv all its branches. Mails due to close on Monday, 22nd October, will close at midnight on- Sunday, 21st October. These mails will include correspondence cleared from the city and. suburban receivers at midnight on Sunday, 21st October. There will be no clearance of city and suburban receivers between midnight on Sunday and midnight on Monday. There will be no delivery by postmen on Monday, 22nd October, but on Saturday, 20th October, the Postmen's Branch (on first floor, General tost Office, entrance from Featherston street) ■will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. for delivery of correspondence directed to addresses in the city and suburbs. The public delivery-counter will be similarly open lor delivery of correspondence addressed to the Chief Post Office.
