QUEEN'S THEATRE.

Burglar insurance fraud is vividly illustrated in "A Daughter of Luxury," a new Paramount picture, starring Agnes Ayres, which heads the programme now showing at the Queen's Theatre. The evening before the Walford safe was robbed, Mrs. Walford wore her jewels to the opera. Her husband, Loftus Walford, suggested that he could raise enough on the diamonds to carry him through a big deal, on which his fortune depended. Mrs. Walford did not agree. Consequently the jewels disappeared. In Nancy from Nowhere,' Bebe Daniels has one of her biggest successes. In addition there is being screened the first part of the new serial, "The Social Buccaneer," which stars Jack Mulhalli Added enjoyment is being provided by the Queen's Grand Orchestra. A despairing woman who jumps from a steamship into the sea and is rescued by a seaplane, is the chief episode of 6ne of the most dramatic incidents of "Outcast," a new Paramount picture starring Elsie Ferguson, which will be the feature at the Queen's Theatre next Friday, ihe story of this impressive and thrilling photoplay deals with the efforts of Miriam, a deserted wife, who is thrown into the streets through poverty, to reclaim a man who dissipates because of his hopeless love for a fickle woman. The various phases of this picture narrative which have their climax in an attempt at suicide and rescue at sea are hifftuy thrilling.- The role portrayed by Miss Ferguson is said by her to be one of the strongest she has essayed during her screen; career of five years. "Outcast is a picturisation of the clay of the same name by H. H. Davies in which _ Miss Ferguson starred in New lork in 1914. The role of Miriam is an exacting one, requiring histrionic ability of a hi<rh order. David Powell, well known leading man, plays opposite Miss Ferguson, and Mary M'Laren who was leading woman for Wallace Eeid and other stars, has the role of Valentine. The ways and means of hitrh finance in Wall street, the methods of international crooks, who operate on a big scale, and the intrigues, of capitalists in i little hi-iropean kw;dc(ms, are iuctused in the. great ten-part chapter play "The Social Buccaneer," starring Jack Mnlhall, part two of which is included on the programme. A Paramount comedy' the latest Gazettes, and delightful incidental music by the Queen's Grand Orchestra complete the programme. The box plan is' at The Bristol.
