The following are the awards of the judges of the students' work to be shown at the annual exhibition of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, 1923: — Head from life in black and white, W. George Woods, Wellington; figure.from life in black and white, W. George Woods, Wellington: commended, Olivia Spencer Bower, Christchurch; head from life in colour, Eileen G. Palmer, Wellington ; figure from life in colour, James Cook, Christchuvch; head from antique, W. George Woods; figure from antique, w. George Woods; etching, John L Moore, Wellington; still life ip colour Marion Tylee. Christchurch; commended, Gladys Anderson, Christchurch; landscape in colour, Marion Tylee, Christchurch; modelled head from life, Aileen Palmer, Weliingtor ; modelled head from antique, Maxibel M'lntyre; jnodelled figure from antique, Maribel M'lntvre; jewellery or metal work, Margaret B'arkman, Wellington. Tha gold medal presented by Mr. Leslie J. Brabin for the best work in any of the above classes was awarded to Miss Marion Tylee, of Christchiirch. The judges of the competition were Mm. J. A. Tripe and Mr H. M. Gore.
