Cabinet has made a substantial grant for additions to the Wairarapa Hieh School. The Board of Governors Till now be able to proceed with the erection of. three additional cla.-,a-rooms, the first portion of the south wing. The whole of this accommodation will 'be occupied when the school opens next year. ■ A^ party of Masterton residents* visited the lararua mountains during the week-end and secured a fine selection of plants for the rock garden in the Maaterton Park.
. • ■ CARTERTON, This Day. Hie quarterly meeting of the Wairarapa Licensing Committee was held at Oarterton yesterday, Mr. S. L..P. Free, 6>.M. ( presiding. The adjourned applicatwns for renewals of the license inlrespectto the Morrison.'s Bush Hotel (W J. Fitzgerald), and Tinui Hotel (Mr! Fanthorpe) were approved. The transfer of the license in respect to the Club Hotel, Grey town, from R.- Stewart to J Fay. was granted.
