(Received 3rd September, 9 a.m.) : -LONDON, 2nd September. , The election of the Republican ActingPresident was celebrated at Ballina, North Mayo, by the lighting of bonfires. A number of Republicans joined in the rejoicing. A military patrol from Killaia arrived, and: was received with a volley, and a corporal .was killed.
