ANTI-CYCLONIC WEATHER

The general impression that Saturday night was the coldest experienced 'this winter was not quite correct, but there .was only 1.1 deg. between the temperature registered, and the maximum, which was.reached on the 9th inst., when 13.3 degrees were recorded at the Thorndon Observatory. On Sunday morning 12.4 degrees of frost were: registered. Anticyclomc conditions.have prevailed over the Dominion yesterday and to-day. Saturday was very cold and changeable, and strong southerly winds prevailed, but have decreased in force in most parts.
