New South .'Wales (with 16 points) won the fourth five miles Australasian cross-country championship, 'New Zealand (22 points) being second, and Victoria (43 points) third: The contest for individual honours resulted: —F. Bailey (N.8.W.), l;., Rose (N.Z.), 2; Nalder (N:Z.), 3; Won by fifty yardß, Nalder being twenty yards behind' Rose. Time, 27niin 27sec. The contest ultimately resolved itself into a struggle between Bailey aid Rose for individual honours.
