HIGHER PAY DEMANDED.

: ■ ' MELBOURNE, 24th August. - The Commonwealth Arbitration Court is dealing with the application, of the shearers for a variation of their award, involving all-round increases. The shearers'are asking that if the weekly earn.ings are below £9 10s, employers shall make up the deficiency; shed-hands demand £6, station..hands £4 10s, and classers £15 a week, all with keep.
