GIFT TO SOUTH AFRICA
Mr. T. B. F. Davis has presented to the South African Government a training ship, the General Botha, for the training of South African officers and men, states the .".Daily Telegraph." The ship, which was originally His Majesty s ship Thames, was purchased by Jli'. Da,vis and fitted out by him for the purpose it is to serve in memory of his son, who- wae killed in Flanders in 1915. The King received Mr! Davis at Buckingham Palace and thanked him for his gift.
