BIBLE IN SCHOOLS
A CONFERENCE OF CHURCHES.
A conference of Churches was held at the Y.M.CA. rooms this morniug to discuss Mr. L. M. Isitt's Bill on Bible instruction in-State schools. The AnglicanPrimate of New Zealand (Archbishop Julius) presided. A motion was moved by' the Rev. Dr. J. Gibb, and seconded by the Bishop of Auckland (Dr. Averill),' "That this conference thanks Mr. Isitt for liis efforts on . behalf of Bible in schools, and approves of the Bill now under, consideration, and urges Mr., Isitt to do all in his power, to secure its adoption by, Parliament this 'session." The motion was cordially agreed to, and arrangements made to further the Bill in various ways. ' ■ -
