WHEN ME HOLLAND IS PRIME MINISTER.
A remark by Mr. Holland that no member of the community could socially earn an income of £2000 a year was referred to by the Prime Minister when replying to the second reading debate on the Taxing Bill in the House of Representatives this morning. "I think the honourable member is looking forward to the time when he will be Prime Minister, with a salary of approximately £2000 a year," suggested Mr. Massey. Mr. .Holland: "I will cut the salary <Jown." (Laughter.)
