DEFYING THE LAW

SYDNEY, This Day. The recent Government ukase against holding street meetings subsequent tp the arrest of and refusal to release a number of offenders is strongly resented by the Communist Party and Labour unions, who are arranging to hold demonstrations in defiance of the law. The Labour Council has resolved to raise a, fund to provide for the sustenance of the dependants of anyone arrested i n connection with the campaign of defiance.
