MOTOR ACCIDENT
SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGES CLAIMED.
Substantial damages for alleged negligence in connection with a motor accident were claimed in a case which commenced at the Supreme Court to-day before Mr. Justice Salmond and a jury of twelve. The plaintiff was Henry Alfred Berg, a clerk, and the defendants were Frederick Walter Roscoe and Bertie H.irold Mayhall, manufacturers, of Adelaide road. Plaintiff claimed £1027 4s, alleging negligence on the part of the defendant | The defence denied the allegations, and submitted that the accident was due to the plaintiff's own act. Mr. A. B. Sievwright appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. G. G. Watson for the defendants. (Proceeding.)
