SYNOPSIS OF LAST 48 HOURS.
A disturbance, off East Cape brought unsettled conditions and rain to many parts on Saturday, and heavy rain to Hawkes Bay both on-Saturday and Sunday. Strong southerly winds have prevailed, but with decreas-ing-force since yesterday, and, except in the latter district, improved conditions .were reported generally this morning.,-'
