HARRIERS WELLINGTON CLUB. The Wellington Harriers held a very pleasant run on Saturday afternoon from Moxham avenue, at the invitation of Mr. and Mrs. Mowbray. The trail led round through the Miramar Cutting, up the north end of Miramar, down past Scots College, round the sand hills, and back through Kilbirnie. Two packs were sent out, the first haying a quarter of an hour's start. W. Watson finished first, C. Devereaux second, L. Watson third, and L. Robertson fourth. R. Watson was first, and F.Rowberry second of the fast pack. After the run,.Jlr. T. Farrington presented a handba/j to Mr. R. Watson, on behalf of the club, in honour of hi ß getting a place in the New Zealand team. Mr. Donaldson thanked the hosts for their kindness. Next Saturday the Old Boys' Memorial Steeplechase will be run off. BROOKLYN CLUB. Saturday's run of the Brooklyn Harrier Club was held from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Taylor, at Moxham avenue. About 25 runners and supporters were present. The run, over a course of about four miles; followed the Evans Bay road to Roseneath and back, by way of Mount Victoria. The run-in of 150 yards resulted:— F. Harleh, 3 ; D. Mills, 2; I. Taylor, 3. After the run. tea was provided; and medals and trophies for the novice, three mile sealed handicap, and Cooke Cup were presented by Miss Taylor. The proceedings closed with a heavty vote of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Taylor and helpers. Next week a two and a half mile handicap race will be held over the new course at Mii-a--nlar, commencing from the school. HUTT VALLEY CLUB. On Thursday, at Ecjuni Hamlet, some forty members and friends of the Hiltt Valley Club gave a "send-eff" to "Dodge" Dome, who sailed, with the New Zealand team to Australia, the following day. The entertainment was held in the school, and dancing, vocal items, and games made' ihe evening enjoyable. During the evening, Mr. Goddard; on behalf of the club, presented Mr. Dome with a black kewpie mascot, decorated with the club colours. The run on Saturday was over a distance of about six miles on the road, some sixteen enthusiasts participating. Three new runners made their first apijearE*'_e. Two of them are quite new to the sport, but the third is ah. old harrier, having belonged to the Farrihgton Harriers, in England. A 100 yards run-in at the end pf the run resulted: R. Goddard. 1; D. Hope, 2; J. Crooks. 3. The dance, held in the evening, was a great success. OLYMPIC CLUB. During the last fortnight the Olympic Harriers have had their usual Saturday runs, though the weather has been somewhat unpropitious, and a gedd number of enthusiasts have turned out on each occasion. On 4th August the run was ill Seatoun, starting from the Seatoun' heights., leading dowii to a wide 'detour round Miramar, and back tip the hill. After the run the lhembers of the club werfc the guests at tea of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Persian, old supporters of the club, to whom a hearty vote of tliahks was passed. Last Saturday the run was at Wadestown, over oile of the earlier courses of the season, down from tho Presbyterian Church to the Kaiwarra Gorge; lip on the Ngaio road, over the railway line, aud home round the foot of the Wireless. In spite of the rain and the mud a very pleasant afternoon was spent.
