RANUI CLUB.
The fight for the captain's cup waa concluded at Ranui on Saturday, the finalists being; ~W. Whitehead (6) and J. D. Dalziel (5). Whitehead was playing the better short game, and was puttine very well. He was one up at the turn, and increased this to 3 up, by winning the next two, but Dalziel fought hard, and had a chance to square with a two foot putt at the seventeenth, bub he failed, and the last hole being halved gave the match to Whitehead.
Next Saturday Ranui will entertain a team from, Waiwetu..
