MR. CLUTHA MACKENZIE'S APPOINTMENT
The position to which Mr. Clutha Mackenzie has been appointed, as mentioned hi an Auckland telegram published yesterday, is that of principal of the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, with the title of director. Mr. Mackenzie was chosen out of 'hirty-eight applicants for the position. Xh<> scope of the duties attached to the office has been, widened to include the supervision of the work for the blind throughout the Dominion, and the administration of the New Zealand Pearson Memorial Fund. Mr. Mackenzie has been a tireless and very successful worker for the Pearson Fund as its representative in the Dominion for the last year or two, and he was also a member of the Departmental Commission which inquired into the affairs of the Jubilee Institute three months ago.
