APPRENTICES
PROPOSALS FOR LEGISLATION.
The committee which was Set up by the conference of employers and trade union representatives last May to consider the apprentice question, with a view tq determining the form of the proposed- legislation, has, concluded its sittings and has arrived at definite recommendations. A further conference will be held on Wednesday next, 15th August, when the committee's report will "be discussed. The Bill which it is proposed to introduce to Parliament will ;be drafted on the lines of the final decisions.
